Featuring Chandrika's Player, as Doctor Plutonium

The following is a dramatization. No animals were harmed in its production. All dice rolls were cut from view for the purposes of enjoyment to the reader.

Science Building -- CBSU

When walking into this building the familiar scents of chemical compounds can be smelled immediately as they waif through the hallway. The hallway has a number of doors leading off into various labs and lecture rooms as well as faculty offices. The floors here are made of synthetic rubber tiles for easy maintenance, while the walls are painted with a glossy white coating. Florescent lighting illuminates the hallway and most of the rooms. The doors leading into each room are metal with a small mesh reinforced window set within most of them.

The science lab contains several freestanding tables with a variety of glass beakers in all shapes and sizes scattered upon them. In a few of the beakers you can see a rainbow of colorful liquids inside of them, some bubbling, others simply waiting to be used. Different types of machines including modern computers line one wall, while microscopes can be seen here and there in plentiful quantities. The floors are made of a solid synthetic material for ease of cleanups, while the walls have the same glossy white coating painted upon them. Several tilt-out barred windows are set within the walls to help ventilate the room. Rows of florescent lights span the ceiling to provide ample lighting for doing scientific study.

Karlie
A caucasian mid teen, by the looks of her height and build. Karlie has no really striking features. Her shoulder length blonde hair appears to be in a state of slight mess, with little attention payed to keeping it orderly. Her eyes are deep blue, and she shows a stern outlook.
Karlie is dressed in a pair of old jeans, though they are in slightly better repair than the rest of her clothing. Still retaining a trace of their once vibrant blue color, now faded to mostly grey. Above, she wears a faded, somewhat threadbare green sweatshirt, covered by some odd metallic plates. They fit over her perfectly, covering a good percentage of her body, though they do not have any apparent means of holding in place. No straps, and none are really connected to each other. On her feet are a pair of old sneakers, probably once white.
---

From the chemistry lab, a hideous bubbling noise comes, echoing through the science building after hours. Something rumbles in the darkness of the halls, and there is the dull thump of a table being overturned.

Karlie mutters under her breath about times of too quiet, slowing her walk after a trip to the university library. With a moment's concentration, her personal field brightens, so she might investigate with less potential injury.

The lights to the chemistry lab are on, blinking quietly as the smell of various chemicals echoes out the door. A grumble and a curse under breath are heard from inside the room as something stalks about, moving heavy objects.

Karlie steps into the lab with no real need felt to be quiet right now, and she lets out a soft cough. "'lo?" she ventures, watching for the source of disturbance.

The voice echoes into the room, and is met with an answer, harsh, demanding and angry. "Where...is it?" A thick, growling male voice demands. "It was buried here...he SAID...IT...WAS BURIED...HERE...." The floor seems shattered in spots, the reddish navy cape fluttering from behind the figure, kneeling down to peer into an empty container, concealed and built into the floor.

Doctor Plutonium
This mans masked eyes glare with numinous, bluish menace, white hot slits of flame beneath a simple blue full face mask, marked with the symbol of the atom. A well muscled frame is covered in a red and blue skintight top, that ends in black gloves, with sinister red highlights travelling down the edge of the fingers. His crotchpiece is a distinctive greenish emerald, which drops into distinctive leggings, one red, one blue, that stop at the edge of his knees. High metal jackboots raise his height somewhat, the blackish grey flared soles reflecting the sinister light of his eyeslits. Hooked to his back is an ominious reddish navy cape, that floats somewhat disturbingly, as though energy was subtly passing through it, invisible to the naked eye.
---

Karlie further steps into the room, the electric field now visible and bright around her. "think maybe someone mighta lied, or was just wrong," she offers, now in a state of semi-readiness. "Guys who break into places aren't heroes. Non-heroes who wear wacky costunes are either insane, villain, or a combination of the two."

The man looks to Karlie, and pauses. "I do not wear this costume for it's fashion sense, girl..." He hisses. "Now get out of my way..." He pauses, his hand charging up with bluish energy, the glow in his eyes increasing as his gauntleted hand raises. "Or I will blast you into subatomic particles, which, I might add, will do nothing for your lifespan..."

Falcon has arrived.

---
Falcon
Falcon wears a spandex bodysuit, which only serves to accentuate his perfect, hard-muscled body. His head is covered, except for mouth and nose, by a tight-fitting hood with the image of a falcon's head on it. The falcon's body is printed on the fabric, beginning at the top portion of his chest (with a reverse image on his back), with its wings extending across his broad shoulders, and down each arm to mid-forearm. The sleeves end at his wrists, and his hands are bare. The dark browns of the falcon's feathers give way to titanium white on arms, chest, and upper back. This color fades gradually down his abs, lower back, and legs, until it reaches a deep cobalt blue at his boots. This gives the appearance that the beautifully detailed falcon is in flight above the clouds, though only the falcon is actually detailed, while the rest is just color. A large irregular swath across the falcon's image on his costume has been burned away, the edges ha! ng in tatters around his exposed chest.
---

There appears to be some sort of voice echoing from down the hall, as someone large and male's thundering voice declares "...Or I will blast you into subatomic particles, which, I might add, will do nothing for your lifespan..."

Karlie mutters under her breath about nuts and their annoying habits of being where she happens to like being. "I kinda like this place. Now you comin' in here's a danger to pretty much everyone involved, or so I gather from your anti-social way." Her own field flares to full intensity.

The man chuckles coldly. "Do not think of my attempts to avoid death as anti-social. Think of them as bringing peace to your otherwise miserable existance!" His hand fires a bolt of radiation at Karlie, the searing blast of power charging towards her. "Be off with you! I must seek it elsewhere..."

The searing blast plows into the hallway outside with a dull roar, blasting apart the hydroponics lab and blowing out the windows within. A stray eggplant hurtles through the aperture and sails skyward, sailing past Falcon's wary eyes.

Karlie dives back, narrowly avoiding the blast from the man, looking slightly annoyed. "okay, wise-guy. We play the hard way." She lifts slightly into the air, eyes blazing a bright yellow.

Falcon startles at the flying eggplant and scans the campus below, "Woah, better see what's goin' on," he puts on a burst of speed, skims through the aperture, and looks around, "Hey, what's the idea of blowing up innocent fauna?" His force field is in evidence, sprakling like dust motes caught in sunlight.

Doctor Plutonium's mask turns to stare at Falcon in abject shock as the hero arrives. "It never ceases to amaze me..." He growls. "Where there is one, there are others...And this one is concerned about plants, when a man who contains the power of the very heart of the atom itself stands before them..." He snarls to Falcon. "I am so glad that you are concerned about the vegetable, for that will be the state in which you and the girl will reside...." His fingers slam together as he floats eerily forward, a bluish glow snapping to life around him as his eyes and hands crackle, a slow-moving hiss of energy reaching out for Karlie and Falcon.

Falcon dives behind the hydroponics equipment, "Holy..." barely managing to keep his feet despite stray vegetables on the floor.

Karlie feels her strength sapped from her, which puts some fear in her. That's a new sensation, and a very discomforting one. She suddenly goes wide-eyed, desperation edging to the surface in her eyes. Powering up, she blasts at the not-so-good doctor with as much power as she can muster.. it may be her last shot, in her mind.

Doctor Plutonium hurtles back into the room, the horrible blast smashing him over the tables and causing him to land on a stray pizza left behind by a grad student. His costume appears to not stain at all, as he struggles to right himself after the blast. "Your power is impressive, girl..." He growls. "But I doubt it will have any lasting effect on the sound of your body hitting the floor..." His hands charge up once more, a thin, tight, searing beam of energy racing for Karlie's form, standing in the doorway as he stands.

The wall behind Karlie and before Falcon erupts in a tumultuous display of horrible crackling and pasty burning, a dull and thunderous kaboom echoing through the building as the hydroponics lab is revealed to the hall, the ceiling above sagging desperately as the blast appears to have destroyed something involving building support.

Karlie barely notices the beam streak past her. She does notice the wall break. Dark expression, she trembles in weakness. "you wanna play that game.." she says in a soft tone. "fine.."

Falcon turns back to face the good doctor, "Hey now, picking on innocent little girls, are we?!" He leaps longwise into the air, as if diving, but instead hurtles towards Dr. Plutonium.

Falcon flies past Dr. Plutonium, trying to bank up hard, to avoid hitting the wall.

Doctor Plutonium narrowly evades the Charging Falcon as he hurtles forward. "Ahh..." He manages as the hero races past. "I hope that was a flanking maneuver, young man, because if not, I have seen division three football players with better technique..." His cape flutters along Falcon's leg at the closeness of the blow, a little false bravado evident in his voice.

Karlie concentrates on the Doctor, "you wanna break stuff..fine. Let's see what we can break.." Focusing most of her energy on him, she raises a hand, and sends flying a large number of pieces from the lab. Small, loose bits, strewn about from the doctor's failed attempt to kill her. They race toward his position at a dangerous speed.

Doctor Plutonium chuckles, his voice echoing through the area as he smiles, the blast rocketing around the room. "Take your best shot, girl..." He grins wickedly. "I eagerly await the display of your abilities." Blood pours from Doctor Plutonium's chest in a sickening spray as one of the shards catches him across the midsection. "You...DARE to wound me?" He growls angrily. "You will PAY for that, miserable brat!" His eyes turn to Falcon coldly.

Falcon lands and advances more slowly on Dr. Plutonium, trying to take advantage of Karlie's distraction. He sneers when the man's eyes turn towards him.

Karlie narrows her eyes, "I pay for lotsa stuff.." she murmurs. "we play whatever game you like.." She's scared. She's feeling weak, and looking it. But she knows she can hurt him.. She watches as Falcon grabs for the not-so-good Doctor.

Doctor Plutonium grunts as Falcon's powerful fingers grip around his own muscular arms. "Nnnh..." He groans, woozily. "There shall be a reckoning for your powerful grip as well, whoever you are." He wheezes as the arms begin squeezing tight. "Fortunately, I am not so limited in my resources as to fall before the powers of one as brutish as yourself..." With that, he begins to shimmer, and eerily phases through Falcon's grip, floating through Falcon's Arms, through Karlie, and through the ceiling, upward to the second floor.

Falcon growls as the doc fades in to insubstantiality, "Not so fast, bully-boy!"

Karlie makes a nice exit point for herself as she causes the wire mesh of a window to exit through said window. Out she flies, and up, but catches no sight of him. She shivers slightly, feeling her strength return..

Falcon darts upstairs to try and catch the bad guy, after noting that Karlie seems to be headed outside. He curses under his breath in frustration as he scans the hallway, "Got away... slimey bastard."

Karlie focuses on her more unusual sense, moving around the buildings so she might locate the doctor.. Her sense picks up a faint flicker from beyond the sports arena, rapidly receding. She cautiously moves toward it, her field remaining at its full intensity.. ambushes are generally annoying.

Falcon emerges from the building after conducting a futile search for the suspect.

As Karlie cautiously moves, the blip continues to recede, gaining distance between the magnetic youth and itself, the form of Doctor Plutonium moving beyond eyeshot into the night.

Karlie makes an effort to catch up, feeling this one's not finished yet..
