(Author's note: Cassie and Mage were taking part in the Cupid TinyPlot, where people sort of randomly fall in love, and Cassie drew Mage's name.  They had never met before this.)

S. Golden Sands Rd

Golden Sands Road is the more modern living area of Colonial Bay with its newer constructed homes and buildings. It is said that this area used to be called the slums some 50 years ago, but with new city refurbishing plans, it has turned into one of the more vogue places to live. Its edges are lined with tall oak trees and tastefully decorated solar powered street lamps. Each of the buildings along the street are designed in such a way to be unique, yet blending with the environment.

Mage

A tall, thin man in his late 20's, with long, somewhat unkempt black hair that falls over his broad, somewhat flat features. His eyes, however, seem to glow with an inner light and... Change colors. Not just normal eye colors, either, but every shade of the rainbow.

His skin is dark from constant exposure to the sun, and most of it is uncovered, or only lightly so. He wears sandals, cut-off jeans, and a white t-shirt with a black stylized lightning bolt on it. His demeanor seems outgoing, and when he talks, it's usually with a thick Australian accent.

Cassie

This is a young woman about twenty years old. She stands 170 centimeters in height, and weighs about fifty-two kilograms. Her tousled black hair barely reaches her shoulders, framing her soft brown eyes and shy half-smile. Her body is lithe with good curves in the places women are supposed to have them.

This is a small, lithe female figure, about 170 cm tall, and fifty two kilograms. She is covered, head to toe, in a form-fitting black bodysuit.

Mage hovers ten stories off the ground, slowly flowing down the street. Every once in a while he stops to check out an address or somesuch.

Cassie is outside on the balcony of her apartment, stretching out her arms and neck, gazing across the city below. Surprisingly, she does not jump when a man flies by not ten feet past the edge of the balcony.

Cassie gives the flier a strange look. A series of strange looks, as her opinion of what she is seeing appears to change.

Mage spies the elusive highrise dweller in her native habitat, and notices the odd looks, "G'day. Don't mean to intrude... Is this Golden Sands road?"

Cassie stares and stammers, "Umm. Yeah."

Mage smiles, "Didn't mean ta scare ya. Just trying to find my way 'round."

Cassie says, "I'm not scared."

Mage smiles as his eyes turn from green to violet, "Well, I suppose you've seen fliers before. Colonial Bay and all..."

Cassie scowls slightly, and turns to look back inside at her apartment. She turns back to her visitor and says, "I can show you around some. Meet me downstairs?"

Cassie thinks . o O (Oh my god, his eyes! :))

Mage shrugs, "Sure. Why not. Meet you down there."

Mage pretends to push an elevator button and taps his foot as he begins to descend to street level.

Cassie's hands are on the rail as if she might just jump over it. Only with apparent effort does she turn and *run* into the apartment.

Cassie runs out of the front of the apartment building, apparently not even winded from the rapid ten flight descent. And she managed to change clothes along the way.

She is wearing a simple white peasant blouse and knee-length black skirt. Simple black pumps cover her feet.

Mage thinks . o O (Seems a nice enough Sheila)

Mage smiles, "Quick change artist, eh? So, what's your name?"

Cassie says, "Umm, yeah. I'm Cassie. Cassie Waters."

Mage says, "Nice ta meet ya Cassie. I'm Ned Kelly."

Mage he says the name like it should mean something.

Mage says, "Say, haven't I seen you in something? Magazine or the like?"

Cassie repeats the name slowly, as if savoring it, "Ned. Kelly. It sounds wonderful.--she shakes her head slightly--I mean, familiar."

Cassie almost squeals the "Yes!", before calming slightly. "Um, yes. I've done some modeling work and things."

You paged Mage with 'Since 2047, Cassandra Waters has been one of Ford Modeling Company's high-profile runway models. She has appeared on the covers of Vanity Fair and Cosmopolitan, and after turning 18, she has done work for Victoria's Secret. Last year, she starred in the second-rate movie 'The Ninja's Daughter', which scored her an Oscar nomination, but not the award. Insiders say she is difficult to work with, and she is known to have skipped out on several assignments.'.

Mage begins to grin as his eyes change from violet to orange, "Well, thanks. Named after an old bushranger. Sort of the Jesse James or Robin Hood of Australia. Yeah, yeah, I knew I saw you.. Ad for Victoria's Secret, I think. Nice work!"

Cassie says, "Thank you." trying hard not to blush, and mostly succeeding. With an impish grin, she asks, "Why were you looking at a Victoria's Secret catalog? Lonely out there at night?"

Mage laughs, "Strewth! Too right. Had to spend six weeks with no one but me and Gina, and Gina's a guy! I mean, some of those models... Er..." He suddenly realizes he may have put his foot in it, "So... Uhm, you just up late or....?"

Cassie giggles slightly, then answers with "Yes. I was out -- running around and just got back in. I was about to go to bed when something more interesting showed up."

Mage says, "Well, I won't debate being interresting. And lucky to be flying past your window, I'd think. Most women would've probably called the law. So, y'know a good place to get a drink about here?"

Cassie says, "Uh, no. I, uh, can't drink. Too young." Her voice drops slightly, sounding sad and apologetic.

Mage thinks . o O (Okay, why am I always perving on the young ones these days?) "Aw, that's all right. I forgot the drinking age is a bit different here. So, what do you do for excitement around here?"

Cassie thinks . o O (Super hero. But I can't tell him that.)

Cassie shrugs slightly, and notices Ned's slightly disapproving frown. She says, "It sorta depends on what mood I'm in and which friends I can find. The Matrix is an okay place to hang out."

Mage nods, "Matrix, huh? Would they be open this late? I'm a bit parched."

Cassie says, "Yeah, they should be. They show the movies until after midnight."

Mage nods. "Haven't seen a good picture in a while."

Cassie says, "Those are the best. Might be too late for the last showing though. We'll have to hurry."

Mage smiles and shrugs, "All right. You seem to be a pretty fast one. Hold on a minute." He makes several complex gestures with his hands, and begins to rise slightly, hovering about a foot off the ground, "Lead on."

Cassie says, "You can't carry me with you?"

Mage smirks, his eyes turning a deep green, "I suppose I could. Give us your hand, then." He reaches out to her.

Cassie reaches out, her hand trembling slightly.

Mage notices the trembling as he lifts Cassie up into his arms, "Y'all right? You're shivering a bit...?"

Cassie whispers throatily, "Don't drop me."

Mage says, "Neh. You're the second person I've flown about this week. I won't make the same mistake twice.... Just kidding. So, where to?"

Cassie says, "West, towards the setting sun." She giggles, then adds, "Well, where it would be if it were setting now.""

Mage ers, "Yeah, all right. West it is." He quickly begins to fly, carrying Cassie in that direction.

You fly up into the sky overhead!

You fly down to the street below.

S. StarDancer Blvd.

This part of StarDancer Blvd. is commonly known for its historical significance by being the very area first contact was made with aliens and the famed superhero for which the street was named. A bronze plaque recessed into the center of the street displays the very spot contact was made. Along the street, various businesses have been build depicting the alien influence on the city. Modern architecture with an alien flare is quite evident, as are the products most of the businesses offer.

Mage soars down from above.

Mage says, "There we go. Still intact. Y'handle flight well, y'know?"

Cassie says, "I had something to hold on to."

Mage nods, "So this is the place, eh?"

Cassie nods slightly, and heads straight towards the black building, without looking back at Mage.

You leave S. StarDancer Blvd. and enter The Matrix.

The Matrix

The large entry hall features a white tile floor, and black walls covered with memorabilia from the trilogy of Matrix movies(1998-2005). The snack bar is still operational, as are three theatres, which branch out to the left. Other signs point the way to the Store, Video, and Hunting Grounds, which are all to the right.

To join a place type PJOIN <abbr>.

Mage enters from S. StarDancer Blvd..

Mage has arrived.

Cassie says, "So, movie, arcade, or--" and leaves the end of the sentence hanging. She snaps her fingers and says, "You wanted a drink. Is soda all right?"

Mage shrugs, "It'll do. Can't find a bar in this town to save m'life, but... S'nice place. Don't have anything like this back home."

Cassie says, "It's the atmosphere. Even with the kids around, it's totally ripped."

Mage nods uncomprehendingly, "Yeah, ripped. So, what's good here?"

Cassie says, "Sorry, no shrimp on the barbie. How about a plastic cheeseburger?"

Mage says, "When in rome. Sure. Plasticise me."

You join SNACK BAR.

In addition to standard 'movie theatre' fare, the snack bar has expanded to include some overpriced fast-food staples such as the standard popcorn, candies and soda. It also offers a bit more exotic foods which entail fruit drinks and more healthy snacks.

Mage joins SNACK BAR.

Cassie heads to the snack bar, ordering 'Two greaseburgers with everything, and two colas'.

Cassie digs around in a little black pouch around her waist, and pulls out some cash to pay for the food.

Mage says, "Suprised a supermodel can eat that sort of stuff. Ye must work out a lot."

Mage looks Cassie up and down, "Ye got the body for it."

Cassie smiles at the compliment, and says, "Not quite 'super', but it pays the bills. And yes, I work out a lot."

Mage thinks . o O (*things deleted from a PG-13 rated scene*)

Mage takes a seat, "Thanks for the tucker. I'm a bit more famished than I thought."

Cassie says, "Tucker?"

Mage says, "The burger. Food. Tucker. Guess it's not local...."

Cassie asks, "So, can ya teach me to talk like a real 'strailyn", doing a passable job at mimicking Ned's accent.

Mage smiles between bites of the burger, "I suppose so. Why'dya wanna do that, though?"

Cassie washes down her latest bite with a polite gulp of soda. She says, "I'm an actress. Just something to keep up my skills."

Mage says, "An actress, too? Quite posh. So, what do you want me to teach ya?"

Cassie blushes. There's a pause before she finally says, "Um, anything. Just talk about things, and I can pick up most of it. Your accent. Tell me why you're here in town, since you're obviously from out of town."

Mage settles back in his chair, "Well, I'm on walkabout, sort of. You know what that is?"

Cassie nods, answering, "Wanderlust. More or less."

Mage says, "Yeah, sort of. It's supposed to bring me wisdom, experience, y'know? I was suggested to come here, the whole 'powers' thing and all. Only met one or two metas so far, they seem a bit stand-offish. Oh, except for this standover bloke, Vain-adis or something..."

Cassie shudders slightly, shaking her head as well. When the spasm is over she says, "Ick. Why does something that stupid have to be that pretty?"

Mage says, "Dunno. Guy seems like a bit of a yabbo to me, too. Women seem to appreciate him, though."

Cassie says, "He's easy on the eyes." but she appears to be staring at Ned's ever-changing eyes as she says it.

Mage looks a bit confused, "Something wrong? Oh, the eyes. Sorry about that. Want me to stop 'em?"

Cassie says, "You do, and I'll have to hurt you."

Mage looks somewhat shocked, "Little Sheila like you?"

Cassie just smiles and nods, not breaking eye contact with Mage.

Mage laughs slightly, "You're having me on. Yer a black belt or somesuch?"

Cassie says, "Not quite. But like you noticed, I work out a lot, and I've studied several of the martial arts. It's come in handy before."

Mage nods, "So you're a toughie, then? All I've got is this," he says, pointing to his forehead, "and this," pointing to his eyes. o O (Resist the urge to continue, you don't know how old she actually is.)

Cassie says, "Only when I have to be. Soft has its advantages."

Mage says, "I'd suppose it would in your line of work. Me, I'm not paid for my looks."

Cassie says, "Apparently not. So what do you get paid for? Flying around and spying on women in their homes?"

Mage says, "Neh. Maging doesn't pay much. Sometimes I run into people who are appreciative, they keep me going for a while."

Cassie says, "So what do you do then?"

Mage says, "Well, bit of this, bit of that. Look for places where the supernatural's gone wrong an try to fix it. Workin' on something now, about some 'Judges' or other."

Cassie thinks . o O (Damn. Damndamndamndamn. *sigh*)

(Author's note: Okay, so this seems out of line for her, now.  But these Judges are supposed to be major serious badguys that she wants *gone*.  She has something relating to them at home which will coincidentally get her in good with Mage.  And when the Judges are gone, there will be more time for them.)

Cassie gives Ned a look, and speaks with a tone of seriousness she hasn't used all night, "Finish your dinner."

Mage thinks . o O (All right... Something odd here... Ah well, another one alienated. Yer naught for three, Neddy...)

Mage shrugs and finishes off his burger, "Not bad. Y'got good beef in the States."

Cassie nods, finishing off her meal politely but quickly.

Mage finishes off his soda and leans back, looking at Cassie expectantly with blue eyes. "So, in a hurry are we?"

Cassie says, "Yes. We need to go back to my place."

Mage's eyes go wide, "Do we now? Well, I wouldn't say no..."

Cassie looks at Mage, and her eyes suddenly go as wide as his, with another accompanying bright blush. She says, "No, not that. Something else, something important."

Mage thinks . o O (Well, guess it depends what you find important...) "Ah. I uhm... See... Okay...." (Maybe she's one of them Judges. Keep the eyes open, Neddy!)

Cassie stands up, tapping her foot a bit impatiently.

Mage gets up from his chair, "Bit of a rush, then?"

Cassie says, "Yes. Lives are at stake."

Cassie heads out the door into the parking lot, her stride all business.

You leave snack bar.

You leave The Matrix and enter S. StarDancer Blvd..

Mage enters from The Matrix.

Mage has arrived.

Mage says, "Now look, what in the world are you on about?"

Cassie says, "I'll show you when we get home." She holds out her hand expectantly.

Mage shakes his head, "You're the weirdest pick-up I've ever had." He makes some complex gestures with his hands, and lifts Cassie into the sky.

Mage flies up into the sky overhead and disappears.

Mage soars down from above.

Cassie directs Mage up to land on the balcony, opening the outside door and leading him in. She lifts one end of the sofa, revealing glints of gold armor. She pulls the armor out while holding the end of the couch with one hand.

Mage arches an eyebrow over a yellow eye, "Uhm... What are you... Er...?"

Cassie sets the sofa down once the armor is clear of it, and reaches inside the armor, coming up with a sword and scabbard, which she presents to the gawking Mage.

Cassie says, "Judges. As far as I know, this sword has something to do with how they got here, and hopefully, we can use it to put them back. Tell me how."

Mage takes a step back, "Uhm... Okay... First of all... Who are you and where did you get this stuff?"

Cassie looks at Mage and takes a deep breath. She stares deeply into Mage's eyes, and says, "When I put the armor on, I go by the name Guardian. I work with StarGuard. And I'm not letting those damn judges kill anyone else. Help me stop them. And then there will be time for us."

Mage thinks . o O (Us?) "O...Kay.... Uhm, you know a sheila named Joey Dagmar or somesuch?"

Cassie says, "Dagmar? I think you mean Joey Fletcher, Bolt."

Mage says, "Yeah. That's her. She gave me some info and told me someone named 'Guardian' had a sword. Weird that it's like this, eh? I'm doing some look out for her. Trying to help her get some book or another."

Cassie says, "That's me. You didn't, you know, with her, did you?"

Mage says, "Neh. She was all over that Vaindis fellah."

Mage seems very intrigued by the sword, speaking of other matters as if they were a distraction.

Cassie says, "Well, work your magic on it, and tell me how to get rid of them." Her tone seems like she expects it to take only five minutes.

Mage gingerly touches the sword, "Neh, neh luv... This'll take time. It's a beauty, too... Gorgeous workmanship. Gonna have to look into it. Y'don't mind if I take it with me, do you?"

Cassie frowns slightly and asks, "Where to?"

Mage says, "Eh, I'm staying in this little appartment right now. Small place, but I can take my time... Get to know this thing... Learn about it..."

Cassie says, "You can stay here tonight, and work on it in the morning."

Mage nods, "All right..." Although it's obvious from his distraction that he's going to be up all night looking at it.

Cassie says, "Okay. You sleep on the couch. Help yourself to the fridge." She leans in close and kisses Ned, then heads down the little hallway to her bedroom.

Mage nods, not even thinking of the kiss from the beautiful lingeire model, so total is his focus on the sword. An hour or so later, as he stretches his back, he thinks about it... And dismisses it as his own imagination.
